between brilliance and insanity, is a razor thin space known as my mind

killing fields
killing fields:
like the twisted amalgamation of metal, flesh and souls,
life’s horror which you created with hatred, contempt, insanity, and fear
sickness which you cannot help yourself, you torture and watch.
your psyche will attempt to explicate a meaning. it cannot. and it craves more
a junkie.
forevermore your mind scared, branded with incestuous lust
for those images of the pain, blood, and hope you steal
it consumes the little sliver of sanity which still remains in your subconscious.
these are your killing fields
for your enjoyment
like fucking -
you get off exposing the raw nerves which penetrate
deep within your core by engaging with and watching your creation
of mental terror
sharing your own brand of insanity
with a final release in your filthy urn.

Released Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 7:00am CST
MediaGrinder Networks, Skinny Cow Productions and patient #9 films collectively announce their support, dedication and resources to the independent filmmaker community. Managing Editor Laura Martin describes their mission statement which emphasizes their “belief in the driven, passionate and creative men, women, and students and utilizing our resources to expose their ambition and talent to a global audience.” Further comments from the group cited the substantial disadvantage indies have for financing, distribution, marketing, and other elements which keep filmmakers from not only gaining exposure, and the reality that excellent films are being neglected.
Publisher Robert Licursi explains, “Right now, these filmmakers are begging, borrowing and in some cases being taken advantage of to create films which will be the next generation of award-winning films such as Brokeback Mountain, Juno, Blue Velvet, Drugstore Cowboy, Sideways, and many other notable films developed and produced outside of Hollywood.”
When asked about the specifics, Martin elaborated, “Throughout the past year we have built an infrastructure that will allow all Independent filmmakers to showcase their completed films and trailers for upcoming projects complimented with storefronts to assist in selling their merchandise on a global scale. In addition, we have built an extensive library of free resources, templates and how-to’s which address topics that indies can use beginning with their initial imaginitive spark, to managing the filmmaking process, funding partners, distribution, advertising, and much more.”
According to Licursi, “We are kicking off our first global film festival celebrating the horror genre. This event is scheduled for March 16 through 24, 2012. Our platform will not only allow ticket-holders to view the films, but also to converse in real-time via chat, video and voice with other fans and with the cast and crew themselves.”
“We believe in social advocates, that they will take action and put in place forward-thinking methodologies and plans that will further assist this community”, says Martin. “Our primary effort is to ensure that all submissions to our events will be seen on a global scale. We will be driving marketing, advertising,
and merchandising through the top 100 social media networks, PRWEB, and through the filmmakers themselves. By launching this platform, we hope to begin to level the playing field. These fundamental beliefs are not only the core of our mission, as filmmakers and technologists ourselves we view this effort is our duty.”
